What We Do
Founded on the premise the citizens of the world need to Explore, Learn and Engage with each other from an early age. Rowing is a fantastic way to do just that. Create more Global Citizens, one stroke at a time.
Our Mission
DIRA is committed to the ideal of making the world a better place through in-depth, first-person experiences where rowing can advance a better understanding of the world in which we all live. It’s dedicated to providing international experiences to all youths, regardless of economic status, race, religion, or any other bias. Athletics, language, culture, and history are intertwined to help today’s youths become true global citizens of tomorrow.
“I first visited Europe at 18 as a National Team member. I want to take more young rowers to visit the world that are not on a national team.”
— Jim Dietz- ‘72, ‘76, ’80 Olympian and Chairman of the Board
